If you are too close to a subject, it might be a good idea to let someone else do the teaching. My degree is in English, and I earn a living by writing. My daughter thinks I am the meanest writing teacher on the planet! Because we are a lot alike, we tend to butt heads seriously on this subject. While I probably could easily teach high school English comp, will my daughter actually learn best with me as the teacher of that subject? Probably not. So, I will farm out that subject (probably Time4Writing) because it is better to spend my energy on other subjects, and pick my battles wisely! <br />My daughter takes 2-3 classes outside the home a year, and I think having a variety of teachers, and meeting other students gives her a better educational experience than if I taught all of her classes. Thanks for mentioning the stress and anxiety portion. I hope that electives that she enjoys will help with that aspect. I appreciate your sharing!Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08784646366110943578noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6970915.post-71350586943868293922013-01-12T19:02:59.114-05:002013-01-12T19:02:59.114-05:00Just started homeschooling this month, and this hy...Just started homeschooling this month, and this hybrid method seems to work for us as well. I have only one child, so she enjoys the interaction with others as well as the change of scenery.Dareehttp://dareesinsights.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
