Win a free Poster Print

Notes from a Homeschooling Mom is hosting a 18x24” Rolled Poster Print giveaway from DigitalRoom.com. The winner will be able to create your own photo enlargement or custom poster for free!

In full disclosure, I will tell you that the sponsor is giving me a free poster print for hosting this contest. I am trying to decide if I am going use my poster printing gift to blow up a picture of my family in front of the holly wood sign from this summer or if I am going have a piece of my own art recreated through digital printing to give as a gift. (I like to keep the originals.)

This offer is open to US residents only with FREE UPS Ground Shipping for US residents.

To enter do one of the following:

1. Please leave a comment explaining how you would use the Poster Print if you won.

2. You may also blog about the giveaway and link to my blog as well as DigitalRoom.com (be sure you leave a comment to let me know you did it. )

3. Tweet your Giveaway @uprinting with trending topic ‘#giveaway’ and ask your readers to do the same, (leave a comment to let me know you did it. )

This contest will end 12 midnight EST on September 28, 2009. I will make the announcement by noon on Sept 29. The winner will receive a coupon code for a free 18X24 poster with free shipping and handling. You will need to make sure your photo is high resolution so that it can be sized 18X24.

Good Luck!

Note for Illinois Homeschool Families

Hello, I am posting this in my blog for Laurie Bluedorn

Dear Illinois Homeschooling Families,

We'll be running a few contests over the next couple of weeks -- all in anticipation of the Illinois Christian Home Educators state convention on June 5-7 and to introduce the new ICHE blog. We’ll also be running several contests during the convention, so check the blog throughout the convention weekend.

Here's Contest #1

To enter this contest, leave a comment here on the blog telling us why you like homeschooling in Illinois. We’ll pick a winner later today.

The winner gets a copy of Ginger Plowman’s No More Whining: Three Easy Steps to Whine-Free Living. Ginger will be one to the speakers at the convention.

Happy springtime to you and your family.

Laurie Bluedorn

Best Homeschool Video

Larel Springs an online homeschooling website has announced the winner of the "Why homeschool is cool" contest.

Hazel Newlevant, 15, of Portland, Oregon, an artistic and creative homeschool student, received the coveted grand prize title and $1,000 for her video entry entitled "What I like About Homeschooling." Hazel drew black and white illustrations that she brought to life with full animation. The video expresses that the world is a homeschool student's classroom, not a homeroom -- showing that homeschool students can read, paint and do science experiments outside with other homeschool students. Hazel also provided the background piano music, Edvard Greig's "Watchman's Song." View Hazel's video at http://www.laurelsprings.com/videocontest/

Check it out... it's quite cool.
