BODIES!!!
Saw Bodies, The Exhibition yesterday It was creepy, gross, nasty, stomachturning, fascinating, and terribly educational. In that order. Glad we went. The kids learned alot. I did to. Somehow I never quite got the picture before of all my nerve endings being attatched to my brain.. but to see a real brain with all the nerve ending (only) laid out on a case... It was a visual picture that neither I nor the kids will ever be able to shake.

Time for Standardized tests
I realize many homeschoolers abhor standardized tests. My husband I have our reservations as well, but in educating there are necessary evils. The key in stardardizing tests is how they are used. We like to wait until the next year is about to start, after they have digested thier lessons, and let them set in, and then test for the previous grade. This way we know what stuck and what needs to be reviewed. It's that time again. The tests from FLO should arrive any day now.
