Bill Cosby slams blacks saying that they (we) can't speak... And he's right... to a point.
In the presence of NAACP President Kweisi Mfume and other African-American leaders, comedian Bill Cosby took aim at blacks who don't take responsibility for their economic status, blame police for incarcerations and teach their kids poor speaking habits. ...
He added: "They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English. I can't even talk the way these people talk: 'Why you ain't,' 'Where you is' ... And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk. And then I heard the father talk. ... Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads. ... You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth!"

I have no argument with his position... I do however have a question...
What about Fat Albert? Back in the early 70's Bill Cosby has a cartoon named Fat Ablert, and several of the characters had such appalling speech patterns that to this day I can't figure out what the heck they are saying. Bill Cosby did every single voice. He made not being able to speak look "cute", like it was something to eminate.
So as a huge role model to America's Blacks for the past 40 years, I have to ask Mr. Cosby if he doesn't hold some fault in the denegration of African American's Lingo?
