I believe that next to computers, the most useful tool for homeschoolers is a digital camera and photo printer. When keeping homeschooling records, it is easy to save essays and test papers, but how do you capture events like field trips and contests? By taking photos and scrap booking!
Starting a scrapbook is one way to record those special events to include in your child's homeschool portfolio. To do that, you need a camera and you need to get the pictured developed. I have a digital camera, but no photo printer, so I still have a problem. Even if when I download my pictures into my computer, I seldom organize, print and process them. To make matters worse, I have hundreds of photos forever lost in a computer that went kaput! OH, if I only had a brand new HP 6 mega pixel digital camera and photo printer! I could take those pics, come home and print them, and create a new scrapbook page. ... But I do not so I will just have to try to discipline myself to send photos to online services and wait for them to get back, and then hopefully follow through with recording my child's special events.
With the ownership of a new digital camera, my kids could also take my older camera out on nature walks and make photo science journals.
With Christmas being over, I guess I have to put this on my birthday list for June!
If you have not already figured it out, this is an HP sponsored post!
